Canines For Kids
Canines for Disabled Kids (CDK) increases the personal independence for children with disabilities through the use of service dogs by:
- Providing families of children with disabilities with personalized information and guidance throughout the process of finding a service dog training program who will train a dog for their child’s specific needs.
- Awarding scholarships to help offset the cost of training a service dog
- Working with schools, businesses and other organizations to ensure that child-canine service teams have full access to their communities as outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act
All services provided by CDK are free of charge to the individual, family or community.
